When Love Island became a cultural phenomenon, it brought with it a wave of summer romance, playful banter, and a very specific visual language—one that perfectly aligned with Aperol Spritz’s own identity as the drink of the season. This brand film tapped into that cultural moment, blending the unmistakable orange glow of Aperol with the sun-soaked, cheeky energy of the reality dating show.​
“Love at First Sip” reimagines Aperol as the ultimate summer companion—playful, bold, and impossible to forget. By positioning Aperol within the Love Island conversation, the film connected the brand to an audience already primed for escapism, romance, and a touch of drama, making the Spritz not just a drink, but a cultural accessory to the season’s stories.​

The campaign’s strategic relevance and creative execution earned five Gold American Advertising Awards—including Best in Show: Video—a Silver ADDY for campaign, and the Best Branded Video Award at the SCADDYs. It was also nominated for a Clio Award by SCAD professor Oscar Betancur.
